Fame – Live Forever by the Stage Experienceat the Alexandra Theatre Birmingham.

Last night I had the absolute pleasure of attending Fame Live Forever’s opening night at the Alexandra Theatre Birmingham. The Alexandra Stage Experience returns for 2022 after three years away with this smash hit musical, Fame. It brings the talent of the West Midlands to the stage in this full scale production of this smash hit musical. With it’s bittersweet and uplifting story, it’s sure to take you on a musical journey. The voices were fantastic, they did an amazing job up there on that stage and with so many unforgettable songs including: Out Here On My Own, These Are My Children, Let’s Play A Love Scene and of course the famous theme song Fame itself. Based on the 1980 phenomenal pop culture film, the story follows the final class of New York City’s celebrated High School for the Performing Arts through their struggles, fears and triumphs as they navigate the worlds of music, drama and dance.

See the stars of the future light up the sky like a flame this summer!

Fame – Stage Experience is Live at The Alexandra, Birmingham from Thu 25 Aug – Sat 27 Aug 2022 and there’s still tickets available if you’d like to go and see it which I would thoroughly recommend. It’s a wonderful family show full of humour and laughs but also sadness and loss. It’s a wonderful balance of mixed emotions and a lovely story to enjoy.

The show runs for a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes including the interval, which is always ice cream time for us. Last night was a Double Chocolate kind of night which was so good. Ticket prices start from just £19.50 and there’s still plenty of seats available for both on Saturday.

This young cast are extremely talented and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see many of them on our screens and stages again in the future. It was a pleasure to watch them perform last night and I’d happily watch the again. It was a huge cast up there at times, but each and every one of them did a fantastic job. This show receives a well deserved 5 Stars from me today.

Disclosure: I attended the press night – all opinions expressed are genuinely my own.
