New for 2019, children can now make their own beautifully designed erasers from pixel templates, using Bandai’s Pretty Pixels Eraser Maker. Whether you follow the templates or decide you’d like to design your own unique erasers, Pretty Pixels are set to bring you hours of fun. Using a microwave heat instead of an iron, makes the possibilities endless. Styles include Fashion, Sweets, Fairy, Cool, Animals & Fruits. The sets are aimed at children aged 8 and over as the small pieces are a little fiddly but it’s great fun, once you get going.
This Deluxe Pack will cost you £24.99 but there are smaller sets available too. There’s a Starter Pack for £16.99 and a Mini Pack for £9.99, so there’s a set suitable for all budgets.
We’ve been having great fun making erasers this week, it’s been great for keeping the kids entertained this Half Term. It’s a great set for keeping little hands busy and kids happy.
I thought it would be fun to give you a step by step guide to how to make them.
You get everything you need inside the box to get started right away.
The hardest part was picking which design card to use, of course we went for the Unicorn first. There were so many to choose from but as Unicorn lovers, it had to be the one for us.
Once you’ve picked your design, you then break up the pieces you’ll need. There’s a little colour coded guide in the corner of your design which tells you how many of each coloured pieces you’ll need. It’s all nice and simple and once this bits done, you’re ready to go.
You get a small pair of tweezers to help you but we found it easier to use our hands. It’s a little bit fiddly but we soon got the hang of it and once we did, it was actually really fun.
Just look at how cute our Unicorn eraser is. She looked a little funny when she was still in the mould but that’s OK as she looked pretty perfect once we’d done the next few steps to finish her off. Once you’ve finished your design, you add half a teaspoon of water on top of it and then close it shut until you hear a clicking sound, then you know it’s all shut securely.
Once shut tight, you pop it into the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds and then drop it into a pot or tub of cold water for a further 10 minutes to let it all cool down properly. Once the 10 minutes is over, you can open it up and see your brand new eraser, it’s awesome.
We were really impressed with our cute little Unicorn eraser. We couldn’t believe how easy it was to actually make and now that she’s done, we can’t wait to make loads more.
The Pretty Pixels Eraser Maker from Bandai is great fun and there’s enough pieces in it to make lots of cool erasers which is fab. It’s a lovely set sure to keep the kids happy.
