The Little Mermaid is one of our favourite Disney Movies here in our house so when we were offered a Colours Of The Sea Ariel Doll to review, we just couldn’t say no. The Colours Of Ariel Doll is a gorgeous, free standing, hard bodied doll just perfect for bath times. Hear her say 14 magical phrases and sing “Part of Your World” from the iconic tale, the Little Mermaid. The box includes: Includes Ariel Doll, removable Tiara, and best friend Flounder.

A doll of Ariel from Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” with red hair, a purple seashell top, and green mermaid tail stands by a bath tap. A small yellow and blue Flounder toy is beside her. The background shows wooden panelling and bathroom items.

Colours Of The Sea Ariel from Jakks.Com is a pretty doll with the most beautiful long red hair I’ve ever seen. She’s perfect for playing with both in and out of the water. She speaks or sings every time you press the purple shell button on magical her pearl necklace. At bath times you can watch her sparkle and shine as her magical tail creates a beautiful light show.

Lily who’s 9 fell in love with her from the moment that they met. There’s not many bath toys for Lily’s age so when she saw that Ariel could join her in the bath she was so excited. Not only does Ariel light up the bath water but Flounder squirts water too so there’s lots of fun to be had. Ariel talks and sings as well as making the water light up, she’s pretty magical.

A plastic mermaid doll with long red hair, a purple shell top, and a green tail floats in water. She wears a colourful tiara and has a light glowing from her tail, illuminating part of her body. The background is a plain bath.

Ariel’s tail does fill up with water when she’s submerges in the bath but it does drain out when you stand her up afterwards. She floats on her back like she’s swimming which Lily loved and her tail lights up nice and bright making all the bath water light up too.

Ariel’s beautiful hair is just as pretty when it’s wet and doesn’t clump up or tangle which is great new. After bath time we left her standing up on the side of the bath to dry which doesn’t take too long. She stands really easy as her tail makes her stand upright when needed. Her hair dried quite quickly and didn’t get knotty and brushed easily afterwards.

Colours Of The Sea Ariel does require batteries but you’ll be happy to know that they do come included. Ariel is recommended for children aged 3 and over, Lily is 9 and loves her.

We’ve really loved having Ariel around at bath times as she really does light up the room, both in and out of the water. She’s a delightful doll, perfect for any Disney Princess lover.
