Last Thursday my friend Toni and I were invited to the VIP Launch Party of The Lobby On The Hill in Birmingham. It’s located on the corner of Smallbrook Queensway and Hill Street, on the street level under The Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre Hotel. It’s got that spacious, chilled out vibe going on with lots of open space and quirky decor inside. It’s a relaxing Starbucks coffee lounge and authentic street food serving restaurant by day and then a quirky cocktail bar by night. It’s different and got a little bit of everything to suit all.

The Launch Party was very classy with lots of amazing surprises throughout the night. We enjoyed a Champagne Reception and the biggest Gin & Tonic that I have ever seen. We were serenaded with live music from a local Jazz band and even had Glitter Makeovers.

A woman in a white, sleeveless floral dress and black open-toe heels holds a large glass of clear drink. She stands in front of a large mirror in a stylish indoor setting with wooden floors, shelves, and people in the background.

Our evening was beautifully mapped out, quite literally on a map to make sure we got to experience everything that was on offer. The gentlemen in the room got a classic shoe shine whilst the ladies or I had lots of fun at the Mirror Photo Booth. I’ve not laughed so much is ages. Toni and I visited the booth more than once as we loved it so much. It was fun.

Canapés were served up by the lovely staff and tasted amazing. I was a little appointed that they didn’t serve some of their street food but what they did serve was delightful on it’s own.

My favourite part of the night was when the guest DJ came out to get the party started. Craig Charles, the Red Dwarf star got behind the decks and played some great old tunes.

It was lovely to have a good old girly dance with my friends on the dance floor. It all felt a little surreal dancing in front of Craig Charles but what a wonderful night it was. Toni and I had a lovely time and really did get spoilt whilst we were there. On leaving we were given a goody bag which contained a voucher to use at a later date so we will be going back.

Thank you very much to The Lobby On Hill Street for inviting us along. I’m sure we’ll be back very soon to try out some of your wonderful street food that I’m so longing to taste.
