Last week we got to try some new pastries from the Genius Foods range.

Pains au Chocolat: These come ready to bake as the packet says that they’re best served warm. You simply place them on a baking tray and pop them in the oven on Gas mark 4 for around 9-10 mins. They’re very easy to cook and even easier to eat. They’d be perfect as a snack or great for breakfast. They’re light, flaky and very chocolaty. They’re the ultimate gluten-free indulgence. They are Gluten Free, Wheat Free and suitable for Vegetarians.

Croissant: Again these come ready to bake straight from the packet. They can be cooked in the same way as the Pain au Chocolat which I’ve mentioned above. These are Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Dairy Free and suitable for Vegetarians. These light, flaky pastries are delicious served with a smudge of butter and would only set you back £1.99 a pack.

We do love trying out new foods here and it’s always a pleasure when the foods taste as good as these did. Both the Croissants and the Pains au Chocolat were delicious!

Disclosure: I was sent a packet of each for the purpose of this review but that doesn’t affect my opinions as they are always 100% honest and all my own.
