Drive in style with this cool Locksies car from Bandai that opens and transforms into a beautiful vanity studio for your Locksies dolls. It includes 4 pretty fabrics, 2 ribbons, a stylus and a sticker sheet to add those extra glamorous touches.

This toy is aimed at children aged 4 and over and  does not include a Locksie doll. It costs around £19.99 and is available from most toy stores.

Three photos show steps to create a tutu for a toy: Left, a square of shimmery purple fabric with a purple plastic piece on top. Top right, a hand uses a blue tool to tuck fabric into the piece. Bottom right, the fabric is gathered inside the piece like a skirt.
The idea behind Lockies is quite simple, it’s about locking your own fashion into place. There’s lots of places where the materials can be placed and then pushed into to make it prettier for play. It’s really easy to do, you simply use your stylus to push the material into place. The material stays quite secure but only for as long as you want it to be because you can pull it out and start again whenever you like. There’s lots of interchangeable fun to be had.

A blonde doll in a checked skirt sits on a glittery purple rock in front of a pink, heart-shaped case with purple and pink fabric curtains. Nearby are a blue spoon, yellow ribbon, and a pink toy car with the same doll seated inside (shown in inset).
We didn’t have a Locksie doll to show you so I had to use the cardboard cut out for illustration purposes. The car itself is really cute, my girls loved it simply because it’s pink I think. The car transforms really easily and quickly into the beauty parlour which again is very easy to decorate with the materials that are provided.

My girls liked the Locksies Ride-N-Style Transforming Car and enjoyed having a play with it. I’m not sure how long it will hold their attention for but for now they are happy with it.

The Locksies Ride-N-Style Transforming Car got a pleasing 3/5 from all of us here at Mummy Of 3 Diaries. My girls are now wanting a Locksie doll to build on their collection.
