Drayton Manor this Half Term : Review
It’s More Treat than Trick this Half Term at Drayton Manor park this year. We had the pleasure of visiting this weekend to see what all the fuss was about and have to say, we had a really lovely time. The sun was shining, the park was decorated beautifully with spooky statues and pumpkins everywhere. The rides were all open (except two) and the queues were virtually non existent, we didn’t wait more than 5 minutes for any of the rides which surprised us seeing as it was such a warm, sunny day for this time of year. It was fab!
Running from October 20th up until November 1st. Drayton Manor Park has some frightfully fun family Halloween activities and eerie entertainment waiting just for you and your family.
As well as all the fun of Thomas Land for younger kids and the bigger rides of Drayton Manor for the older kids. You also get the extra fun of exciting, Meet and Greets with Thomas Spooky Characters. Face your fears activities in the Reptile House and Keeper Talks in the Zoo. There’s even Pumpkin Carving above the Main Thomas Land Shop. My fave part: You can Trick or Treat at the Fat Controllers house in Thomas Land which my two loved doing. Even though they were older than most children in the queue, they still loved it.
The Park was decorated beautifully with lots of picture perfect spots set up for you to use.
There were hay bale scenes for sitting on, Giant Pumpkins for posing in and so much more.
We had a lovely day out at Drayton Manor as usual, there’s always so much fun to be had. We rode so many rides and enjoyed ice creams and doughnuts in the sunshine. For us, Drayton Manor is one of our favourite local attractions to visit as a family as there’s always something for everyone. Although my little boy is 8 years old, he’s a small 8 and not quite at the 1.2metres mark so he couldn’t go on lots of the bigger rides which he did cry at the Bumper Cars when he still wasn’t big enough to ride but I’ve promised him that he should have grown a little bit more by the time next Summer comes and then we’ll go again to see if he can finally go on them all. I’ll keep my fingers crossed but I’m sure he’ll be tall enough.
Drayton Manor has lots to offer families like mine. The rides are great fun and there’s a good selection, the queues are often small and the park is not too big so everything’s nice and compact so there’s not too much walking to do. And, if you don’t like rides, there’s the Zoo.
This may have been out last visit for this year but it’s certainly not our last visit.
