The Stick Man Live at the Birmingham Town Hall
We had the pleasure of going to see The Stick Man Live at the Birmingham Town Hall yesterday morning. Lily and Ryan a lot older than most of the children there but that didn’t matter to us as we all love the Stick Man story by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler and have grown up reading it in our home. It’s such a lovely story that is know well by most young children. Although aimed at toddlers and preschoolers, it’s much loved by all.
The Scamp Theater’s delightful adaptation of the book was wonderful to watch. This award-winning production features a trio of top actors and is packed full of puppetry, songs, live music and funky moves. There’s also lots of audience interaction too which the kids loved.
The kids loved clapping along and had a good laugh out loud. We all know the story of The Stick Man very well so it was lovely to see it live like this. There’s lots of special effects and live music. The actors worked so hard and were very good. They really brought the story to life and made it so enjoyable to watch. The show lasts for around one hour but it soon speeds by, like they say. Time flies when you’re having fun and fun is what we all had.
Performances will be running up to three times a day from Thursday 28th December 2017 to Friday 12th January 2018. Standard tickets cost £12.50 per person but there’s also a Premium ticket option available and a group discount price for 8 or more is available too.
We had a wonderful morning watching the show and would happily recommend it to all our family and friends. If you love the book, then you’ll love this Live show.
