John West Lets Brits Trace Their Fish
John West is launching a world-first initiative to enable shoppers to trace exactly where their canned fish has come from. For the first time ever, consumers will be provided access to information about where their fish was caught, including the ocean and even the boat that made the catch. The innovative scheme allows consumers to input a unique code – found on the lid of every can of John West tuna – into the company’s ‘Fish Finder’ at www.john-west.co.uk. The code then reveals the individual story behind each and every can.
So i was sent 2 tins of John West Tuna to try out the new site. The new tins are pretty cool – they have a new eye catching design, don’t you think? I started with adventure with my tins of yummy Tuna:
On the bottom of them you can find all the information you need to find out all about your tuna.
My next step was to head over to www.john-west.co.uk where i was greeted with the following screen where i simply input the country printed on my lid, the barcode and the special 3 digit Can Code. There’s handy hints to show you exactly where you can find all the information you need which is great. It makes it so easy and fun to do.
Once you’ve put in all the data it needs you get taken to all the info about YOUR tin. How cool is that?
